Description
Appearance:
- Slender, elongated body reaching up to 2.5 inches (6 cm) in length
- Bright red body with a metallic sheen, becoming darker towards the tail
- Transparent fins with a reddish-orange tint
- Forked caudal fin
- Small, pointed mouth
- Males are slightly larger and more intensely colored than females
Behavior:
- Peaceful and relatively shy: Prefers the company of other peaceful fish or its own species.
- Active swimmers: Enjoy exploring all levels of the tank, particularly the mid-water and upper regions.
- Surface air breathers: Possess labyrinth organs that allow them to breathe air from the surface.
- Omnivorous: Feed on a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, live food, and vegetables.
Care requirements:
